The Sweetbay Magnolia (Magnolia virginiana) is the literal inspiration for our name. With its fragrant white blossoms and brilliant red berries, the beautiful Sweetbay vividly reflects our passion for delicious food. Common to West Central Florida, the Sweetbay grows tall and strong, echoing the strength of our stores and associates.
November 2009 marks a very special milestone in Sweetbay’s history as we celebrate our 5 year anniversary. On November 4th 2004, we opened our first store in Seminole, Florida. Today there are 104 Sweetbay locations as far south as Naples and north to Gainesville, with each store offering outstanding quality, variety and value for a one-of-a-kind shopping experience.
